Red, White & Chambray

Happy (belated) Memorial day and the unofficial start of Summer! To me, Summer means outdoors, sunshine and light, comfortable outfits. One of my staples for the season is a good old fashioned chambray top. I’ve styled it 3 ways and am showing off a few other summer essentials too!

I like to double a chambray top as a swimsuit cover-up. Perfect for the boat or the beach. It provides protection from the sun, coverage for post swim adventures, and a little extra warmth for sunset cruises.

Tie it in the front! Such a cute way to add another layer without feeling too overdone. Don’t forget to bring your tote to hold your beach towel, sunscreen and patriotic coozies! Of course you’ll need some local beers to go with it all. I’m drinking Lonely Blonde from Fulton Brewery in Minneapolis.

When the temps get high, tie it around your waist. It still looks cute and you’ll be able to throw it on again once the sun goes down.
